Dear Parents,
We want to bring to your attention that certain baby foods may not be safe for your child to eat! There is an active research being done into the safety of baby foods, the heavy metals inside baby foods, and its possible dangerous effects on children. Please do your own research when purchasing baby foods and if you choose to purchase premade foods, please use naturally sourced and organic products.
Of course, home made baby food tends to be the healthiest, especially when parents purchase fresh produce, wash it thoroughly and fully cook the food before serving it to their kids.
According to the article found here:
"Baby food manufacturers Gerber, Beech-Nut, Nuture Inc., Plum Inc., Sprout Foods, and Walmart, were named as defendants in a new consumer toxic baby food class action lawsuit filed last week in Los Angeles County Superior Court."
"This autism baby food lawsuit alleges that the defendants violated numerous consumer protection laws by falsely marketing their products as safe when they contained dangerously high levels of toxic heavy metals such as lead, mercury, and arsenic."
Parents please do your own due diligence when purchasing products. Companies will often advertise a wide variety of unhealthy foods and products to sell and make a profit.
I would suggest purchasing organic locally grown produce and making your own baby food, or purchasing baby food from a well known and vetted source!
